2012 Community Show at Gallery nrc

A line of prairie grasses suggest the outline of an old road between the Pawnee Buttes, Colorado.

Path

I’ll be showing two images at Gallery nrc for Neil’s 2012 Community Show. This images on display will be “Path” seen above and “Butte Sunset” seen below. Both are 20″ x 30″ – a nice size for either image.

There will be thirteen other artists displaying work at Gallery nrc and, while the exhibition begins November 30th, the reception isn’t until December 7th. I’ll be down at the gallery on the 7th from about 7pm and Mary and I usually hang out and chat until 8:30 or 9. Hopefully we’ll see you there.

If you haven’t checked out the recent upgrades to Tennyson Street you really should stop by. After visiting Gallery nrc you can stop by the Mac Garage where Curtis usually has some prints up and beer on tap or MODesTEA where Tracy also shows the work of local artists and has some excellent tea to choose from (the Irish Breakfast is excellent).

Gallery nrc is located at 4424 Tennyson Street, slightly off the main drag and across from Tenn Street Coffee.

Hope to see you there.
Cheers,
Alex

2nd Anniversary Show at gallery nrc

I currently have two images hanging at gallery nrc during the month of April, “Bleeding Heart Bloom” and “Lilly Homage”. Neil Corman, the owner, contacted me in early March to inquire if I was interested in showing some pieces during his 2nd Anniversary Show – how could I refuse. I really love the Tennyson Art District, its a little cleaner and parking is a little easier than down on Santa Fe.
For the Anniversary show I decided to hang something a little different – two floral pieces printed on Aluminum. I’m very happy with the way the pieces turned out and the contrast between a soft subject and a hard medium works well. If you’re in the neightbourhood stop by and take a peek.
